Alternate Interior Angle
The angles that are formed on opposite sides of the transversal and inside the two lines are alternate interior.
Alternate interior angle. When two lines are crossed by another line called the transversal alternate interior angles are a pair of angles on the inner side of each of those two lines but on opposite sides of the transversal. The transversal crosses through the two lines which are coplanar at separate points. Formally alternate interior angles are two interior angles which lie on different parallel lines and on opposite sides of a transversal.
So there are actually two pairs. When two lines are crossed by another line the transversal a pair of angles on the inner side of each of those two lines but on opposite sides of the transversal are called alternate interior angles. Alternate interior angles are formed when a transversal passes through two lines.
The transversal crosses through the two lines which are coplanar at separate points. They lie on the inner side of the parallel lines but the opposite sides of the transversal. Alternate interior angles are angles that are on the inside of the two lines and on the opposite sides of the transversal.
C and f are alternate interior angles. Learn about alternate interior angles. 24 june learn about alternate corresponding and co interior angles and solve angle problems when working with parallel and intersecting lines.
If the two lines are parallel then the alternate interior angles are congruent. D and e are alternate interior angles. Alternate interior angles are the angles formed when a transversal intersects two coplanar lines.
The pair of blue and pink angles denotes alternate interior angles. They lie on the inner side of the parallel lines but the opposite sides of the transversal. Alternate interior angles in the drawing below angles 3 and 6 are alternate interior angles as are angles 4 and 5.
